Submissions for FilmOneFest 2020 are Now Open!

EVENT DESCRIPTION

We are now accepting submissions of short-format films for our July 18, 2020 film festival. The contest is free to enter.


You will be competing with more than 2,000 of the most innovative, diverse and entertaining short-format films from more than 100 countries.


RULES

All films MUST BE UNDER 2 MINUTES to be considered. (While all genres and film styles are requested, the films must be Family Friendly.)


CATEGORIES

Please choose the category that your film BEST fits. 

Comedy – make us laugh

Drama – make us feel

Sci-Fi – make us wonder

Horror – make us scared

Experimental – make us see the world in a different way

Documentary – make us understand 

Animation – make us amazed

Student – make us impressed


NEW! NJ Filmmaker category: Either the writer, director, producer or main cast must be from New Jersey.   Filmmakers will still eligible for the other categories and awards.


Note: Submissions to the Student category must be from a filmmaker under 22 years old as of 12/31/2020  who can provide a copy of a student ID upon request.  All student-made films will be entered into FilmOneFest and will also automatically be entered into FilmYoungFest  which is screened at a separate event in late June. 


Films not in English must be subtitled

Earlybird:  February 16

Regular: April 3

Late: April 17

Extended: May 15

Notification Date: June 26


TERMS & CONDITIONS

FilmOneFest is hereby granted the right to utilize any film or video submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film or video for screening and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.


The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless FilmOneFest from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
