Donna Steinhorn is the Public Relations/Intern Coordinator and works closely with the interns, Monmouth University and Managing Director Corinna Thuss.
A graduate of NYU, Donna spent her early career years in the Fashion Industry as a Fashion Director, Editor, Corporate Communications Director and Training Director. After returning to school 21 years ago to get a coaching degree and certifications, she became an Executive and Life Coach and works with both individual and Corporate clients, with a sub-specialty in ADHD Adults. In addition to her coaching practice, she is the co-founder and past President of the non-profit Coach Initiative whose mission it is to support nonprofit initiatives worldwide to help them make a greater positive impact in the world. She is also a board member and Program Director of the Transformational Leadership Council, founded so leaders of personal and organizational transformation could support each other in their contributions to the world. Donna has sat on numerous volunteer and nonprofit boards locally as well, including the Junior League, Family and Children’s Services and ORT.
Special events are nothing new for Donna, who in addition to having been the co-Director for TEDx Navesink (now TEDx Asbury Park) is the co-founder of ConversationAmongMasters.com , and has run special events in the past for Coachville, Inc., the Red Cross of Monmouth County, NCJW and various other local and national groups. She is also the co-founder of Serendipitous Events whose mission it is to "bring Magic and Wow and Heart and Warmth and Surprises and Sparkle and Love to gatherings of Human Beings seeking to come together for a unique experience …no matter what the purpose."
Donna and her husband Michael, a local historian and realtor, have lived in Rumson for 40 years. They have two children, Adam and Lauren, and are expecting their first grandchild.
Heather is currently a Junior at Monmouth University, studying Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. She grew up in Jefferson Township in North New Jersey. She is very interested in obtaining a career in PR or event planning. Heather loves baseball, traveling, music, and dogs. She is currently volunteering by dog walking at The Associated Humane Society in Tinton Falls. She is so excited to work with FilmOneFest!
Anthony Varlese is a senior English major at Monmouth University, formerly of Georgian Court University. He is graduating in May 2018 and looking to fulfill a master’s program in Communications. Varlese is gaining experience in public relations writing and social media content creation as well as skills in event planning. He is a writer for The Odyssey Online where he writes engaging articles on pop culture developments and topics of interest to college-aged students. He has assisted in the execution of many on-campus events in his college career, through Georgian Court and Monmouth’s student activities and conference and event services offices, aiding their marketing and client relations as a student worker as well as his involvement in various clubs and organizations. Some events he has helped with include concerts, fundraisers, and school spirit and sponsored events. As a hard-working and detail-oriented individual with a drive for leadership, Varlese is very committed to his efforts in his desired career field. In his spare time he manages his own blog, is working on an academic paper for publication, and is an avid musician, playing piano for at least 10 years and has performed live on numerous occasions.
