Founded in 2008, the festival takes place on the third Saturday of July at the Atlantic Highlands Marina in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. Films (under 2 minutes in length) are projected on a giant screen under the stars on the historic shores of Sandy Hook Bay.
Kevin Smith comes full circle with his return to New Jersey, riding high on the wave of his successful Jay and Silent Bob REBOOT Tour. Join him and his most loyal fans for an intimate Q&A at Monmouth University’s Pollak Theatre (400 Cedar Avenue, Long Branch, NJ) on April 24, 2020 at 9:00 PM. Tickets will be available SOON!
Through the generous support of Tom Bernard, Sony Pictures Classics (SPC) and Mickey and Fred Rast of Atlantic Cinemas, we offer six movie premieres each year to raise funds for FilmOneFest. See the very best in independent filmmaking before these films are released to the general public. Our next film is "The Traitor."
We are now accepting submissions of short-format films for our July 18, 2020 film festival. The contest is free to enter.
You will be competing with the most innovative, diverse and entertaining short-format films from more than 100 countries.
Thanks to our many generous sponsors who share our vision of fostering community through access to cultural arts.
FilmOneFest is made possible through the efforts of many dedicated volunteers: directors, judges, technicians, graphic artists, special events staff, fund raisers, administrators. It takes a village.
FilmOneFest is a project of the AHAC, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The mission of the Arts Council is to strengthen community through the arts. For more information, go to www.aharts.org.
