About the Film
The lonely inhabitant of a tiny planet looks for a companion in the vast and hazardous void of space.
An Interview with Terry Dankowych
What has been a real high point point for you in creating this film? What excites you about your submission to the FilmOneFest?
The high point would have been seeing my character come to life for the first time. It took months to take it from a sketch to a fully animated character. The FilmOneFest sounds like a great opportunity to see some great upcoming talent and to be a part of that is very inspiring.
A questions about “One Minute” films: As you think about one minute films, what kinds of possibilities are there for this medium? What does it mean to you particularly?
The challenge it presents is a great starting point for anyone wanting to get into film, where many amateur filmmakers have a tendency tend to draw out or pad their films (something I am very guilty of as well). Condensing stories into such a tight time frame really forces the artist to exercise their creativity in ways that will greatly help their careers going forward.
Talk a little about your influences: If you think about the gifts and skills you bring to film-making, what do you find energizes you most? What inspires you or compels you in your art form, and in what ways are you inspired?
Watching other people enjoy my work is what matters to me most. If I can make someone laugh or remember something great about their own life than there is no greater reward for me.
