About the Film
As a newcomer (only 20 years ago – ask a local) to Atlantic Highlands, I wanted to pay homage to this beautiful borough; its flowering trees, Victorian architecture, and the fog which rolls in from the Bay.
An Interview with Jeff Smith
What has been a real high point point for you in creating this film? What excites you about your submission to the FilmOneFest?
This is the first video I have submitted to the Film One Fest, and indeed only the second one I have made. FOF is a great venue to explore video without spending a ton except for time.
A questions about “One Minute” films: As you think about one minute films, what kinds of possibilities are there for this medium? What does it mean to you particularly?
With all that can be expressed in the short film (and One Minute is really short…) I hereby declare that: THE FEATURE FILM IS DEAD!
Talk a little about your influences: If you think about the gifts and skills you bring to film-making, what do you find energizes you most? What inspires you or compels you in your art form, and in what ways are you inspired?
The Phantom 2 Vision Quad Rotor Flying Camera has enabled me to find new points of view that heretofore were available only at great expense and lots of pre-planning i.e. helicopters and cranes. Combining this aerial platform with the DSLR video camera has been an inspiration.
